Avoid poor after sales
I would like to thank Hawkins motors PENRYN for the wonderful service they provide to a VALUED CUSTOMER. Fault need a new fuel tank as the anti-syphon catch broke. Needed to drive around until there was no fuel as they don’t have the facility to drain it. New tank order, vehicle dropped of expecting to collect it later that day, only to be told they hadn’t ordered all the parts! No courtesy car. Two day later fixed Fault, excessive wear on rear nearside tyre. Inspected by tyre specialist who produced a report saying that rear wheel not aligned. Hawkins wouldn’t accept report even thou they don’t have the facility to check it themselves. Said it was a result of going around roundabouts. (after sales manager) Sorry HAWKINS didn’t realise at the time of purchase that I was only supposed to drive in straight roads with the occasional bend and not around roundabouts. When challenged they said it was due to the tyre compound. Eventually agreed to replace tyres, but still haven’t checked the reason why. Fault, Keyless entry into boot. Dropped vehicle over, no courtesy car. Phoned a couple of days later, was basically told I was lying and that it was working. (after sales manager) Contacted Peugeot direct and they said that I should have been given a hire car, HAWKINS PENRYN kept that quiet. Popped across and made a video showing that it wasn’t working. Whilst waiting to speak with manager, vehicle taken to workshop and fixed, how spooky. Still ongoing fault with searing sensor, but because it doesn’t show on the ECU it doesn’t exist The only solution they want to offer, is to trade in my less than 2 year of Rifter for slightly over book price and buy a new vehicle from them. I can’t comment on the customer service provided from other HAWKINS dealerships, but my advice, avoid this one as once they’ve sold the vehicle their ‘VALUED CUSTOMER’ pretence goes out the window.
