A TOTAL LACK OF BUSINESS PRINCIPLES.

Have you ever felt like a right mug by a time wasting second hand car outfit? No? Then here's a cautionary tale... I spotted a car before Christmas and enquired if it was still available. It was, and it would be going nowhere until they reopened on 4th January. I 'phoned first thing that morning to make arrangements to come up. It's a 4 hour round trip - so a considerable distance. The Covid protocol in place was explained to me which was fine. The vehicle looked good, and I said I would be interested in buying it, offering a deposit which was declined. We agreed to exchange details on my return to home, and the car would be ready to collect in a week's time. On my return home I 'phoned to see if the vehicle could be collected on the coming Saturday only to be told "there's a problem. It's been sold." I assumed that they meant to me - but no! They had sold it to someone else in the meantime! Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned but my word is my bond. Not so with Motorcade - apparently.
