NEVER BUY FROM THIS GARAGE

Bought a car just less than 3 months ago and front bulb went. Took it be replaced at Halfords to be told that I had faulty electrics and there was nothing wrong with the bulb. Since buying the car I had noticed little issues with electrics but was nothing I couldn’t cope with. I rang the garage and told them of my issues and they offered to get an auto electrician to look at it for £40. I know it’s only £40 but it was the principle of it so I googled citizens advice who confirm under the consumer act 2015 they are liable to fix the fault. I told this to James on the phone. I took my car in Monday ready for autoelectrian. On Wednesday when I rang I was told he did not turn up monday or Tuesday but we’re crossing their fingers for that day. I called on Thursday to say it was done. When I arrived I was greeted with an arrogant James who drove the car round for me to inspect and it was all fine. Then it came to the £40. I explained I didn’t feel I should pay due to the length of time I had it and stated the consumer rights act.. James clearly didn’t understand and kept shouting about it being out of warranty when I clearly said the consumer act is nothing to do with the warranty. Then a man who I can only assume is the owner blustered over and started shouting at us. I explained the situation and all I got back was I don’t care and you won’t get your car back till you have paid. He was the rudest person I have ever met and did not care about anything even when legally I was right. Appalling aftercare service and I feel sorry for his employees working with a man with such attitudes. I really couldn’t believe the way he spoke to us. Honestly do not buy from these people as they don’t care. I wish I could put zero stars.
