My Vauxhall Astra

I purchased my Astra 1.8 petrol,ex pack in early July 2017 from Kirkcaldy,Glenrothes, Scotland after travelling the huge distance by train from St Helens. The main dealership there sold Vauxhall aswell as Renaut. I was given a 3 months warranty, parts and Labour. On arriving home one if the lesser management lights came on.i rang Glenrothes to ask about where to go to be fixed. They said ARNOLD CLARK,St Helens. After many cconversations with the St Helens branch thet discovered a spring on the back wheel was tge wrong spring, they said my car would have to go to the Salford ,Manchester branch because it was a Vauxhall and they didn't stock the parts. This is apart from the managent light (orange car with a spanner going through it). Arnold Clark said when it goes to the Salford branch they will sort it out when they do the spring. The problem was they hadn't got a staff member spare to take my car to Salford and i wasn't getting anywhere so i offered to take my car their myself, which i did. But before it got to that stage,a member of the Arnold Clark salesman come to me and said he used to work at the branch in Salford and the management light will just beca sensor and he'd phone them and tell them to sort it when they did the spring.Very reassuring he was.(bbut i knew he had no intentions of ringing the Salford branch, just rhetoric.Anyway,i took my car to Salford and left it with them. They did provide me with a courtesy car,so that was a plus, however i still had to travel back to St Helens and come back the next day.I had to ring them to make sure it was done, they never rang me.On going to pick my car up ,the spring had been done but but i never noticed on lavingvthe showroom that the management light had been fixed and half way down the M62 coming home, when i noticed it,i thought ~ what's the bloody point,i'm getting no-were here. The moral of my review is. When i bought the car, the management light was on (not the main management light) or i wouldn't have been able to drive to Manchester, but thus light had been on since i bought the car on 1st June 2017 and Arnold Clark were hopeless, customer service is not good and i put the whole scenario down to """who was going to pay for my car to be fixed""",despite them giving me a full parts and labour warranty for 3 months. Incidentally, the same light is still on today so it can't be much but iv had my car in for a cambelt/waterpump today and on picking it up i was informed by Billoyds that it is a heating thermostat that wants doing and that the light wont go out till its fixed. The ironic thing is that for the last 3yrs Arnold Clark have messaged me when my MOT was due and to book it in with them. What a joke. I cannot give Arnold Clarke a goid review because with me they were rubbish. Oh,and the price for this thermostat job to be done is £144 so doesn't that just tell it's own story. They didn't want to payvfor it to br done despite the 3 months full parts and labour warranty and all the inconvenience they put me through.i dont recommend this dealership to anyone. Another reason i probably struggled to get my car fixed was because i paid £3,000 for it and not the £12,000-£25,000 plus, that Arnold Clark sell their cars for,so they wasn't interested in me. This is my review which is truthful.Shame on you Arnold Clark. .
