Avoid for paint work repairs

My X-Trail was booked in for a minor paint work repair to the rear bumper via Premia Solutions. The online process to register the repair requirement and to book a repair time slot were without issue. Post repair when viewing the car in daylight the following quality related issues were identified, overspray on adjacent black plastic components, flecks / speckle effect in the paintwork i.e. not smooth and incorrect shade of white painted used that noticeably did not match the cars original colour (reportedly they did not have the correct paint in stock, so they applied the closest shade they had) Overhaul the initial process lacked the appearance of any form of quality control measures being in place. Ultimately the car was returned and sent to a Sunderland Coach Works which had the correct paint in stock. The finish from this 2nd process / location was as expected but did result in additional days without the vehicle and the need to arrange drop offs and collections at the garage. Not the quality you would expect from a Nissan main dealer (Gateshead), and any future requirements would not be via this location.
