2005 Freelander price £5500 bought it a week before Xmas. 82k Was advertised as with everything working and full service history. On first day out a drive to wales and exhaust snapped. (£85 to fix.) within first 300miles On careful inspection it had had NOT been service for over 24k miles. only an oil change. A oil change is not a full service and on a 4x4 is not acceptable. ALSO NOT AS ADVERTISED ON LOVECARS WEB SITE> Due to the lack of servicing the Crank case breather had not been changed/cleaned resulting in over pressuring the block and blowing the turbo seals and hoses( £450 to fix) within 700 miles or purchase. Within 3 weeks it started shaking when setting off. Turned out the VCU was seized resulting massive strain on drive train and possible damage to IRD (transfer box) and diff.VCU changed (£375 to fix) Damage to IRD and diff will have shortene the life as we found metal partials in IRD Now leaking fuel from the high pressure fuel pump. have been quoted £600 to fix it.
