Unethical and untrustworthy

My 21 year old son is in the process of setting up his own business. He needed a vehicle for towing and was originally interested in a Nissan Navara. Comparing it to a Ford Ranger he decided the Ranger was the better care and put a deposit down. Once he got home he started to look for insurance but was unable to get a sensible quote. He telephoned 72 hours later to cancel his order only to be told he would not get his £200 deposit back. At no point were we told the deposit was non-refundable. We have given the garage numerous oportunities to return the deposit and we are now following a legal path. This guy is a disgrace profiting on a young man and his hard earnt cash when he has sufferen no costs. In fact a few days later he sold the Ranger.
