Avoid this man!

A word of warning about Andrew from Hand Picked Cars North West. This man cannot be taken at his word! I assisted my elderly parents find a car and we found what appeared to be a good option from Hand Picked Cars North West (a one-man dealership owned by Andrew). Just to provide some reassurance, they took up the recommended warranty that Andrew suggested at around £200 extra. Weeks later, the promised policy documents were nowhere to be seen. Multiple phone calls and emails to Andrew and multiple assurances by Andrew that he would attend to it (when he clearly never did until REALLY pressured) ensued. Finally, the policy document arrived. We thought, "Great! We can move on!" However, about 2 weeks ago, there was a problem that needed attention. My parents contacted the warranty provider (Warranty Wise) only to be told the policy had lapsed because the policy (that my parents had paid Andrew for) had not been paid to them. So Andrew pocketed the £200 that was meant to pay for the warranty. As far as I am aware, that's fraud! Andrew is FULL of excuses and reasons why he shouldn't be blamed. Now he's blaming Warranty Wise & Covid! Come on! You pocketed the money Andrew - that's not Warranty Wise's fault or the virus' fault! And he's promising to pay back the £200 (I'll believe it when I see it) but that's not going to help too much if the bill to fix the car is £1200 is it Andrew?! I've seen a number of positive reviews for him, and I guess if all goes well, then he's fine but our experience is that he's the kind of car salesman that deserves the reputation! Slippery as an eel and keeps promising to do this and that and literally NEVER does it. Seriously - if you have 2 cars on your shortlist and one is from Andrew, buy the other one! This guy is not to be trusted.
