Please read and find a different garage Or mini specialist! Took my 09 Mini Cooper S to Sycamore Peterborough with a misfiring issue. They diagnosed the problem to be the problem to be the timing chain, so replaced it at a total cost to me of £1100. This did NOT fix the problem and I had a long, very stressful and upsetting time as I was left with a big bill and a car that still didn’t work... but actually ran worse!!!! They then wanted to do more investigation work and even had to contact the Technicians at Mini Uk at the mechanics at Sycamore did NOT know what the problem was. They suggested replacing more parts and gave me estimate for another £2000 worth of work with NO guarantee this would fix the problem either. I was very upset and disappointed with the way Sycamore handled my case. Their customer service is so terribly poor! At one point I contacted Mini on Facebook in search of help and advice and explained to them my situation! They contacted Sycamore to look into my concern, but were told by Sycamore that they did not have my car and had not seen it in their network (even though my car was actually in their workshop at that time)! Can you believe that?! I had no faith in the garage after a number of issues similar to this so couldn’t risk spending more money with them! I ended up having to trade my car in at a different dealership - TODAY, I found my old car advertised for sale on eBay! So I called the dealer who is now selling it! They said it’s a lovely mini in such good condition..... I know that because I looked after it!!!! They said that their mechanic had to readjust the new timing chain (which I paid for at Sycamore Peterborough) as it hadn’t been fitted correctly and needing timing properly!!!!! ‘I runs like a dream now’ he said!!! Due to my experience I can say they are NOT professional mechanics! Do not trust to take your car beloved car there unless you have bottomless pockets! PLEASE DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE
