Bought a mini from what seemed to be a genuine salesman who promised me the car had gone through a service and MOT. The engine light was on and he promised to get his mechanic to fix it before we purchased it. We came back, the light was off and that was it. Within days the light was back on but driving ok. The dealer offered free 12 month AA warranty so we accepted. After four weeks the car started jolting occasionally when changing gear. After taking it to a garage, I found out the vanos system needed replacing - which can only be done by a BMW specialist and the clutch needed replacing at a personal cost of £800. Not only that, the oil was thick and gloopy indicating the service and likely MOT never took place. Funnily enough, this arseholes website is down and his phones are no longer in service.
