Avoid at all costs!!!

We purchased our vehicle (2016 Astra) from this garage 5 weeks ago. Since day one it has been nothing but problems. When we got the vehicle, we noticed severe damage to the roof, consisting of deep scratches across the entire roof and 3 medium sized rust patches. When we called the garage about this, they told us to bring it in the following week to have these problems sorted. Their resolution to this was to send the sales guy out with a small pot of touch up paint and simply paint over the rust spots! The garage refused to do anything with the scratches as well, claiming that “It was a second hand vehicle after all,” and that they could have come from a cat! Along side this, it had problems with the brakes, tracking, tyres deflating and the front bumper clip had broken. They just rubbed the pads down to sort out the brake issue, swapped the front wheels over to sort out the tracking issue and refused to sort out the tyres. After getting a report from an independent garage saying that the rear brake pads were unsafe, two tyre valves were leaking, and the front discs needed replacing as well, we contacted the management of Eden who asked us to come in to the garage again a week later. The manager who came in refused to acknowledge the independent report, saying that he “Disagrees with all of this.” He then claimed that they would rub the rust patches down and repaint the roof properly and they would let us know when it was ready. Upon collection of our vehicle, they stated that they had repaired some slight damage to the side of the vehicle that we didn’t know was there and that they had finished the roof saying that it “looks a lot better,” but when we looked, it didn’t seem any different at all! They refused point blank to repair the brakes and one of the valves saying that neither of them had any issues, and that if we wanted to get the brakes repaired, they would do it at a cost to ourselves and that they wouldn’t be using genuine Vauxhall parts! We then took it back to the independent garage and got another report saying that the vehicle is still unsafe, and that they are highly unimpressed with the state of the vehicle. The staff there are extremely helpful until you have actually made a purchase, and then couldn’t care less. We found them to be extremely unprofessional, rude and dishonest. The treatment that we have received from this dealership has been appalling, and we now face starting legal action to resolve the matter since Eden refuse to take ownership of their failings.
