Car had problems which wasn’t resolved

So firstly when I arrived at the dealers everything seemed fine, looked around the car park and there was some decent looking cars. Came across a scirocco on autotrader so went down to view it. They said the car has been serviced recently which I can say has been done. Engine was smothered in WD-40 to make it look nice which wasn’t nice. Onto the main part of the story. After driving the car home, 1 hour later the car started over heating so they repaired it using there garage “Churchill Motors” and they managed to fix it. I could then actually drive the car but after a week of driving realised my fuel consumption was excessive. I’m a mechanic myself and I done some diagnostic which was a cylinder misfire 2. Tried new plugs coil packs etc and narrowed it down to a stick/burnt valve. Requested them to give it a walnut/manifold clean to see if this would resolve the problem due to the car running lumpy on idle. They took the car into the workshop and said they had done the job. I left the car with them for 2 weeks. When I went to pick up the car, I plugged into my car ON Board Diagnostic and read that there was still a misfire, further investigation found loads of soot still in the inlet manifold so proven the work hasn’t been done and the reply I got from the dealer was “it’s only because you are a mechanic you found this fault, anyone else wouldn’t notice it”. Car isn’t fit for purpose. Fair enough the dealer gave me a full refund but I can surely say id stay away. Good luck to the cars new owner, Blue scirocco Reg start YH58 😓
