This garage (Grange Swindon), is a running joke with friend and family. They are very good at selling you a car. Knowledgeable and professional. As expected from a brand such as JLR. However the service side is a different matter at this garage….. The service team don’t seem to have the same training as the sales staff. When calling the service centre, it is always a painful experience. Typically they never answer and when they do, not very personable. When booking the car in for a service they do not offer any courtesy vehicle. They seem to have stopped this since Covid. Despite other garages continuing. They don’t offer a pickup service and don’t offer to arrange and pay for a taxi. Compared to Mercedes down the road, who are very obliging (before and during Covid procedures). I always get the impression that the customer is an inconvenience to the Grange service staff. On arrival at the garage for a service they have new procedures in place, because of Covid. Totally understand and respect this. Keep customers and staff safe. However they are so disorganised, that the system they have in place doesn’t work for the allotted time slot for bringing in your vehicle. Being that we have to make our own travel arrangements from and to the garage, it’s a huge annoyance when having to wait 40 mins over the allotted service drop off slot. Oh and you don’t get your car valeted at the moment. Despite them charging the same rip-off prices. Much better going to an independent garage that is Jag certified. I’m still waiting for my health check that you apparently you get… I believe this report informs me that they have filled the car up with screenwash, despite being full on drop off! They do have reduced staff – again this is fine. But at least compensate the customer, for the lowering your standards... Please note, I am referring to the service centre staff here. Not the sales team or engineers. They’ve always be great. If looking for a repair or service on your Jag (and don’t want to use an independent certified garage), I’ve been recommended to use Marshall and Dick Lovett group. The Didcot, Newbury and Bath dealerships are apparently very good. Unfortunately I couldn’t make this work for me this time. But next time! I know this review seems brutal, but I’m so bored with the Grange. Its a disappointment from such a brand/badge.
