Bought a Honda Civic 1.0 Auto from Wigan Honda as our car was on it's last legs but we still had outstanding finance. Honda said they'd clear the finance and we picked up the new Civic a few days later. Cancelled the old cars finance direct debit and thought all was good. 2 weeks later we get a demand from the old finance company saying we owe them money. Rang Honda and they said they'd paid it. Finance company said they'd not had anything. Basically spent 2 weeks going backwards and forwards between the old finance company and Honda until I marched in to the dealership and said I want to hand the car back. Suddenly everything got settled but my wife was really worried at one point. Just stress that wasn't needed. Now we've had the car 5 months and at 4800 miles it's saying it needs a service. Service schedule says 12 months or 12,500 miles. Been told by Wigan Honda that the way it's being driven means it can require a service earlier. I think it was put on a 6000 miles a year plan but after 2 days of constantly calling Wigan Honda I can't get through to the service department. Pretty shocking really all round and I'd suggest either going in with your eyes open and pointing them to these reviews and showing them or just going elsewhere.
