What a Nightmare

So after searching to country far and wide for an upgrade on our caravan we found what we thought was our dream van. a Swift High Style. they only problem was that it was a 3.5 hour journey away. so we decided to do our homework, checking out the van and of course the online reviews of Standish, everything seemed fine, so we made the call, which was followed by many more telephone conversations, which assured us we were making the right decision. on viewing the van everything seemed fine and we were assured all the necessary checks would be carried out before we made the journey again to collect. a week later we took our old van to Sandish as PX and collected the new to us(2012)Swift . as we were going on holiday the following week , we decided to get the van serviced by our local dealer. this is where the nightmare begins. we received a call from them advising the the van was structurally unsafe and they were surprised we made it back home in one piece along with this there were 23 other separate defects (admittedly some minimal) but as Standish had assured us that all the necessary checks had been done we were shocked. on calling Standish to advise, we were told to return the van for a refund and have our old part ex back (which might i add was advertised as DAMP FREE, which i know for sure it isn't) off we went to make to 7 hour round trip (which i know was our choice to go that far, but didn't think we would be doing it 3 times) on arrival at Standish the reception was very cold no one wanted to speak to us and no one even had the decency to even apologies. the situation was very tense. we hooked up our old van, but decided before we left to have a quick look inside. now take into consideration they had our part X for a week and they knew we were coming back to collect it part way though that week. they decided to help themselves to the fuse switch for the heater leaving live wires hanging out of the wall. when i looked out of the van strangely enough everyone had disappeared, so they knew what we were going to discover. i went and found the chap that sold us the van he seemed to act a little confused as is the switch seemed to have jumped out of the van all by its self. i was then told that they needed a switch for another van they were selling and a new one was on order, that they would send it to us when they received it and in the meantime just to wire the loss wires together, not to much of a fire hazard then... well folks that was 3 weeks ago now and still nothing, i have emailed and called, and was told that the person i needed to speak to was at a funeral ON A SATURDAY IN A PANDEMIC!!! REALLY. and to add insult the STRUCTURALLY UNSAFE SWIFT IS BACK UP FOR SALE, AND SOME POOR BUGGER IS GOING TO GET STUNG. NOTE TO STANDISH, IF YOU CHOSE TO RESPOND TO THIS AS YOU HAVE OTHERS CLAIMING YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO I AM, I HAVE HAD PERMISSION FROM THE LOCAL DEALER WHERE I LIVE TO PUT ALL THE REPORTS FOR THE CARAVAN ON HERE ALONG WITH THE RECEIPTS. I WILL NOT BE RECOMMENDING YOU
