Advert Misleading and Incorrect
I enquired via Gumtree about the Silver Mini Convertible. I am fully aware that this vehicle has been deemed as Cat S. The advert stated the following... Excellent Bodywork, Half Leather, Interior-Excellent Condition, Quality repair carried out in house. Emails exchanged. I assumed I could pop in a see the Mini. I spent two hours travelling. Admittedly I turned up unannounced. Upon inspection of the Mini, I could a see a repair had been done to a poor standard. Over spray on the drivers side rear wing and light. Panels didn’t fit properly. They had to install a battery. So I could start and check the mechanical roof. The exhaust had also been repaired and wasn’t sitting right. I had done some check and found the Mini’s MOT expired Jan/2019. I was told they had acquired the car and finished the repair.... I did make an offer, as I felt it could be out right, but it wasn’t going to be cheap.. The dealer then put in his reply....., Paint work is reasonable, So why in your advert would you put EXCELLENT!! I sent two further emails about going back to see the car! Via Gumtree!! Never heard anything. Poor customer service, advert misleading. Will report to trading standards
