I bought a white 2011 Corsa Excite off of Shaw Motors Ltd in February this year for £5000. The car has costed me so much in repairs since. I recently broke down, which was due to a faulty coil pack. It was an extremely stressful experience, as I was on my own. To get it towed and fixed, it costed me £400. It now appears to be leaking water and has been displaying the service light and low water light for the past two days, after filling the car up with water several times. I have now booked it into the mechanics. It makes me upset that they were happy to sell me this car. When I first viewed the car, there was a rattling sound on the test drive. The salesman just said that was 'due to the cold weather and not driving it for a while'. Of course, I believed him. After approximately two weeks of driving it, it continued to rattle, so I ended up taking it to the garage. Mechanics found numerous things wrong with it. An oil leak, and several other things. However thankfully it was still under warranty, so Shaw Motors paid. As a 22 year old, £5000 is a lot of money to spend on a car. It took me a while to save up. After speaking to various mechanics, many of your vehicles often have problems. Myself, family and friends will not be using Shaw Motors again. I would advise anybody else NOT to buy a car from Shaw Motors too.
