Have not paid me my money

I sold my late father's car to Brentside cars in the middle of 2019. They helped me get the car off my father's property and we agreed £800 for the car. They have never paid the money but have sold it on. They keep saying there is a mix up with cheques and addresses, but for it to take almost 12 months is simply wrong. I will have to take them to court which is an extra thing on top of dealing with my dad's death. If you are selling a car, make sure they pay you before letting them take it or just go to another dealership.
