Worst Dealership
We have written and audio evidence to demonstrate that this company blatantly lies to avoid taking responsibility for their failures and for the impact upon trusting customers. It really is the worst dealership we have ever come across. Ford UK should be ashamed and worried by the behaviour of their official franchise staff. Allen Ford supplied a brand new vehicle which had faults. Rather than get it sorted quickly and professionally, they decided to delay, fob-off and bodge the problems and then try to cover up the damage they caused in the process! When we discovered what they had done (and not done), they had it back for a whole week, but still failed to sort it properly. Extremely poor workmanship. Lots of hassle. To add insult to injury, whoever washed it, used a dirty brush and scratched the exterior paintwork. It wasn't checked over before being delivered back to us, but the driver could clearly see what had happened. Absolutely shocking to see the conditiion it was brought back in. We were naturally upset, because our trust in the company was completely broken. Yet when we complained, we were met by heavy-handed solicitors letters, saying the only option was for us to let them take the vehicle back to their garage AGAIN! Consumer law supposedly gives a company one or two chances to put things right, so this was not an appropriate solution. Unfortunately The Motor Ombudsman (TMO) were absolutely no help whatsoever and just made the situation worse by taking forever (69 weeks!) to deal with the case. They chose to believe the lies told by the dealership. Many people seriously doubt the impartiality of the industry-funded ombudsman and we have come to this conclusion too. They made us jump through hoops and we still ended up with a totally pathetic, inadequate result. Our advice would be don't waste time expecting TMO to help you. Look at the reviews. Just head straight to the small claims court. This is what we should have done from the start. Even more importantly: We strongly advise that you don't walk into an Allen Ford showroom or service centre and place your trust in them. They are not trustworthy or competent.
