Vehicle sold with exsiting faults

I bought a superb looking Ford Ranger in metallic Copper Red for the purpose of towing my horsebox in August 2019 from this dealer. It was advertised with full service history and booklet stamped accordingly, however, after purchase vehicle it transpired that vehicle had did not have the original engine but certainly not advertised as such, together with numerous faults including the engine management light under dash was covered by masking tape hiding the fact that the warning light was permanently illuminated. Other numerous other faults made the vehicle not fit for purpose and resulted in the vehicle spending the majority of the time either in my local service garage or back with the dealer trying to sort issues out. 6 months after purchase and after considerable negotiation with the dealer the Assurance Company who manage the RAC warranty however not a 82 point checked warranty, Citisens Advise and Trading Standards together with legal advise before persuing Court Action I eventually received a refund for the vehicle This has been by far the worst personal experience in buying a vehicle and would certainly not recommend.
