Don't Sell cars that have odd front brake calipers fitted, Kinghams in Croydon have established that whilst carrying out a health check of the car which I had bought from Tom, someone has fitted an off side brake caliper to the near side, surely Toms Trained Mechanic may have noticed this? it was only noticed when the brake line which was rubbing the steering suspension arm was replaced as it was close to wearing completely through due to incorrect routing. Oh! the lateral acceleration sensor which failed within a week of buying the car, which in turn kills the car puts the 4 ways on and operates the door controls gives a suspension fault 'lean when cornering' alarm. This too will need replacing. BUT if you don't take an RAC policy at a big cost with Tom, and a fault occurs Tom will happily advise you that you didn't take out RAC cover. He doesn't accept liability otherwise. There is however a small claims court close to you that would listen and if paid by Credit card they can also help. Trading standards have also been exceptionally helpful.
