Bmw has cost me money to fix

purchased a BMW 1 series around 6 months ago, part ex on my Audi A4. The timing chain was slipping and the garage agreed to pay 75% of the bill. When I got it back the car had a loss of power and it turned out the fuel injectors were damaged and needing replacing. The engineering company used by the garage confirmed he had told them that at least 2 injectors were at fault , but they refused to pay for them to be fixed. I have now had to pay £1080 for new fuel injectors ! It’s hard to moan as the garage is run by decent people...but this is what happened !
