Where Else? Anywhere else.
Submitted a test drive request on Friday night. No response by Saturday so I went down to the showroom. Three sales guys sat about chatting - at lunchtime on Saturday the place was dead. Asked about a new model but they knew almost nothing about it. Asked to see the new infotainment system in another model, they handed me the keys to a used car out on the forecourt to go and see for myself (I could have stolen it very, very easily). Couldn't even be bothered to come with me to chat further. Little to no interest in getting to know me. Gave me an out of date brochure that doesn't even mention the trim level I want. Until recently I worked in the motor trade for 8 years across sales and then marketing for volume and prestige brands and the service I received from Draycotts as a potential buyer was nothing short of shambolic and an embarrassment to KIA. Summary: - All sat about together chatting even when I came in and started walking about and talking to them - Huge security breach giving a complete stranger the keys to a used car and allowing them to go outside, start the engine and do whatever I wanted. Had I driven it away they'd have been powerless to stop me. - Out of date brochure containing trim levels no longer available - No offer for a test drive Every car dealer in the country follows a near-identical sales process. Not one step of it was followed. Will be ordering a new KIA in January, but will travel to Nottingham instead. Draycotts ask 'Where Else?' - anywhere. Anywhere else will give you better service. They never even asked my name.
