Scrap car sales

Please avoid L & S Appleyard, don’t even deserve 1 star After purchasing a Vauxhall Zafira with around 76000 miles 2015 on the 9 th of September for £7500 all staff was nice and even picked me up to collect. Car was a dream but that that’s when things started to go wrong after around 4 weeks won’t go into 1 St gear and feels like you have to clunk into 2nd but doesn’t do it all the time a few times a week and clutch went really stiff Called Appleyard’s up and booked me in a garage about a week later which is one in the same building After dropping off I decided to write mileage down to see how many miles they done in it while at garage Got a call saying the garage had looked at car and couldn’t find nothing wrong which I thought they was wrong because something was definitely not right picked car up they had done 1 mile in car which wasn’t nowhere near enough to check something like that and got a invoice which says it’s normal for a car of this age and mileage and if I wanted car to be feel normal I would have to purchase a new clutch myself After taking home around a 4 days later an engine management light came on and I called Appleyard’s back up and they booked back in a few days later but I couldn’t drop off as was in hospital with pneumonia for a week .luckily the light went off when I came home which I called to tell them and the reason why I hadn’t dropped the car off In this time we started to make videos to show them how bad it is cars beeping behind and stuck at lights 20-30 seconds until it goes in gear A few weeks later 17th November and still with stiff clutch and dodgy gear box the engine management light came on again I took it to show them which was a Sunday and garage was closed and told me to bring back in when I get a day off work after going back in and being told to put into 2 nd gear or reverse and double Clutch which I do any way and doesn’t work that’s what I would have to do to drive car as it’s normal for a car of this age (4 year old car )they booked me in for 28 th November on which I get a phone call saying a sensor has gone in exhaust and will be £450 which the aa warranty’s won’t cover This cover is not even worth having as it only covers certain things and doesn’t cost more than £250 so totally pointless just looks good when they are selling there cars with warranty Then getting me the price for clutch So £7500 for car 9 th September November 27 th £450 for exhaust sensor And price for a new clutch and probably a new gearbox or something to do with gearbox is going to cost over well over £2000 to fix for car to be normal which needs looking at properly not 1 mile It’s going to be well over £10000 by time every is done A really horrible experience and hate driving it now and we’ve stopped going places and doing things only using when we have to thinking car is going to break and to top it off wife passed test last week and won’t drive it after seeing what I have to do so I have put her on my 2 seater Astra van insurance and 5 kids in tow so are going nowhere If you have loads of money to waste on fixing there scrap cars then use l&s appleyard Please spend your money elsewhere
