AVOID AVOID AVOID

The Approved Car Centre is the worst ever. We called about a car we liked, they said they had someone interested and thinking about the car so we laid a deposit to book it. I asked about the car and was told the condition was good from non smoker and olderly person who looked after it well. When my husband arrived there he said the condition wasnt great and the car smelled with cigarettes so he didnt like it. It also appeared that it was a year older than stated on autotrade. So he said he wants his deposit back as the description doesnt match the car and we dotn want to buy it and the sales person said ok they would refund it. A week later I called to ask and they said it was directed to their account dept to pay to us. I called after a month and they said they would check and nothing, then after another month called and was asked to give them details of the transaction. I replied and nothing. I sent a few sms saying we will report them to Trading Standards. They responded it was a gamble and deposit is lost. So we are now dealing with TS and Motor Ombudsman to get back our money. So avoid them. They are dishonest horrible company that will rip you off. We ended up taking almost new car from Bristol Motor Cars on their promotion with 0 % credit for half a price of new. Glad we didnt bought that old snelly car from Approved car centre. I hope we can recover £100 our deposit.
