DISAPPOINTED-DO NOT USE

The guy at Tudor Cars was an absolute gent when I initially enquired and purchased a vehicle for cash. Didn't use the car for a few weeks, as still was using my company car. When first started using the car purchased here, the steering was veering more and more to the left: I decided that as and when I'd run it into my local garage rather than bother the proprietor of Tudor Cars, as I assumed it was something minor like the tracking. After a couple of weeks, and the weather turning, I endeavoured to get the heating to work - after checking manual and fiddling around with it, it was definitely not working. This was aside from the headlight and a rear light failing (these were minor things, of course, so again, happy to put right myself) Hadn't had the steering checked at this point, but it's now severely pulling to one side, I hit a bump in the road, and it yanked the steering wheel completely out of my hands...so doesn't sound like something minor. Decided it was time to call the man that had been happy to take my money, and it must be said, he was kind enough to throw in a warranty (possibly, but not necessarily, knowing this car was trouble) No idea, what kind of use the warranty will be to me, I will find out on Monday, once my local garage has checked the car, to give me a run down on it's condition... Mr Tomlinson was very short with me on the phone, as he said he was in the bank, and advised me bring the car down to his premises the following day. I booked the afternoon off of work in order to take the car in. On my arrival at about 2.15 pm (I was originally aiming for about 1pm) the very nice lady in the office, informed me that he was out at the car auctions in Chelmsford. She called him in my presence, and he did not have a clue, who I was, and what was I doing there?! I had had a conversation with him less than 24 hours previously. The lady advised he would be 10 minutes, but said that this was highly unlikely to be 10 minutes, and would be a whole lot longer. I said I'd pop back, but due to the other headlight going, (what a surprise) and it getting dark, about 3.45pm, I decided that one, I needed to get home, and two, I was extremely hacked off about this man's complete disregard for my time, and could not guarantee that I'd be civil. I emailed Mr Tonmlinson, to express my disappointment in having a fools journey. I didn't expect a reply, so it was not a surprise when he didn't have the decency to even offer up an apology.....I think this constitutes, what's known in the trade, as ''mugging someone off''. Clearly the proprietor of Tudor Cars thinks and believes his time is more valuable than anyone else's. This attitude is unacceptable, and pretty p**s poor in my opinion. He was quick enough to take my money, but his behaviour/after care, whatever one can call it, is absolutely dire. My friend came with me the day, I had the wasted journey, as she wanted to buy a car....no prizes for guessing if she will be buying from there. He certainly lives up to the second hand car salesman 'persona'. The car is being investigated, and I would highly recommend **DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE*. Spend your hard earned money with a car dealer with some integrity. As for the positive reviews....?? I wonder No doubt he'll pipe up now.
