Test drive

New drivers beware. Went on the off chance of getting a test drive for a new driver, due to commitments making it difficult to get there. Went in around 4.30 pm, no one else in showroom. Told we had to book a test drive in advance. Said sorry, but would it be possible to get one as my daughter is at school and works weekends. Told no we had to book despite the salesman sat behind a desk basically twiddling his thumbs. Also, then told her pass certificate wasn't valid anyway for taking a test drive due to their insurance despite all other garages we had been to accepting it and being told by the test centre it was legal to drive on it. West Riding Hyundai in Colne have lost a sale of a possible i10 Premium SE brand new, but hey ho going to Toyota as much more helpful and took us out in two cars (automatic and manual) for a test drive after turning up on spec. They'll get our purchase instead. Lucky them!
