FAULTY CARS, UNWILLING TO REPAIR

I brought a car from Claydon Autos, a Nissan Juke I was told it had a full service history but I wouldn't get the service book until I had purchased the car, the same with the spare wheel and memory card for the sat nav. After purchasing the car and looking at the service book it was due a service 2 months prior to purchasing the vehicle. Claydon autos told me it’s been adequately serviced so doesn’t need one even though the book says different. The spare wheel they told me it wouldn’t of come with one it would of come with an inflation kit but that wasn’t present either. Claydon autos told me they are not prepared to do anything about that even though the main dealer told me it would of came with 1 or the other! The car had a faulty gearbox, it was an auto which sometimes wouldn’t select drive and had a loud clonk coming out of park. Both CV joints at the gearbox end had serious free play which you could literally pull up and down easily with your hands. Also both of the gearbox seals were leaking! I told claydon autos about these problems who told me to take it to baylham garage which is behind claydon autos baylham branch. The mechanic here said it just needs a driveshaft and 1 gearbox seal as the other isn’t leaking that bad!! I got from this that he was just trying to save claydon autos money as he didn’t want to lose their work. Off the back of this I took the car to 2 separate garages and asked for there opinion both told me the bearings in the gearbox had failed and required a rebuild, this is what caused the seals to leak. They also told me there is a selection problem most likely the electrical side of the gearbox, so the only solution would be another gearbox put in the vehicle. When questioning the dealer about this I was told they have no knowledge on cars what so ever but there they are selling cars. Anyway the dealer told me to take the car back to them and it will go to a gearbox specialist. Well the car went back to baylham garage and they fitted 1 driveshaft and 1 gearbox seal so it never went to a gearbox specialist at all (liars). The day I got the car back I traveled to bury (33 mile drive) and we broke down this time due to the aircon pump seizing. The dealer told me to recover the vehicle at my cost to them despite all the concerns I had. Once the car was back to the yard, an inspector came 3 days later to inspect the vehicle. However they had the car in pieces and wasn’t doing anything to repair it. After the dealer had the car for 2 weeks it was finally repaired. The whole time I was told there is no courtesy car option available as another customer had it and once it’s back I could but had to arrange my own insurance! I never got that opportunity, instead told to rely on public transport to get to work for 3am at my own expense! After the car being returned to me, an inspector came out about a week later who ‘inspected’ the car. I mean test drove it 3 miles around the block, but even with this little test drive he even admitted there was a fault with the gearbox as it was difficult to remove from park. He never got underneath the car to check the Cv, gearbox or anything like that, so yet again I went back to the 2 garages I had taken the car to and asked their opinion on the repairs by the dealer. They told me yes 1 driveshaft had been replace and 1 gearbox seal but the play at the gearbox was still exactly the same and the other side still leaking!! There opinion was claydon autos tried to cut corners and repair the car on the cheap but essentially it still needed another gearbox! I challenged claydon autos on this and they said they were not prepared to repair the gearbox and they have no lawful reason to take the car back and refund me, however they would only if I removed bad reviews. I did this but then I wasn’t refunded all my money! I owned the vehicle 2 months and 1 of those it was back with the dealer! Overall, if you want a faulty not as described car from people who have no knowledge on cars, lie to you and have to fight to try put things right, claydon autos is the place for you!
