Worst experience of my life
Bought a used car from Bedmond Motor Centre. After taking delivery I found it to have multiple faults. The biggest one and the most concerning was the fact that the car had been in an accident at some point. I rang Bedmond to discuss these problems and was shocked by their initial reaction. I said that I would like to return the car as it was not road worthy. This was only just over a week of receipt of the car. I was told that this could not happen. Then in a different telephone call he said he would have to contact the director of the company. Then in another telephone call I was offered money off of the price paid to get these faults sorted. But quite honestly what they offered me would not have come near to the bill I would have faced if I had agreed to this. In all these conversations I was told about the amount of money they were losing in connection with this car. They were not concerned how much it was costing me. I again told them that I would like a full refund on the car.By this time three weeks had elapsed. I had paid for this car but was unable to drive it and it sat on my drive. In my next telephone call to Bedmond they asked for the car to be taken back to them so they could inspect it and they would then contact me with their findings. The car was taken back and I was offered a courtesy car which had no tax or MOT. The offer of this was declined by me. I heard nothing for some time. At this point alarm bells started to ring so I asked my Solicitor to act on my behalf. In the end I rang Bedmond and they then decided that I could have a refund because the car did have multiple faults. But to top it all they said they couldn't refund the total price and were only prepared to give me the price I paid minus £300. So as far as them losing money on this car they have lost nothing whereas I am 300 pounds down not to mention the tax lost, petrol lost, Solicitors bill lost and my time which I will never get back. I am furious and would not recommend this Motor trader to any one. Don't be fooled when they spin you the line of being a caring family run business. These people are only interested in sales and not the customer especially when they have received their money in full.
