Very poor after sales customer service

Very poor customer service from Different Cars Ltd in Hitchin, Lies, Un-trustworthy, Never responds and doesn’t deliver on promises. Lives up to the stigma of being a back-street car salesman/garage of doesn’t care once they have your money. Bought a Mini Cooper S from Chris back in April 19, initially we were pleased with the service and how Chris conducted himself by being true to his own words of not being a dodgy car sales man. On receipt of the car, there were a few things wrong/ missing. 1.Passenger seat wouldn’t sit right on rails. 2. Missing parcel shelf. 3. Broken driver vanity mirror cover, which meant light was permanently on when shade pulled down. I reported these to Chris, who said that he would sort them straight away, by bring the missing parts out to my home and fixing the passenger seat. NIL, NADA, NOTHING!! So two weeks later and after a couple of emails from me ignored, I rang Chris who said there must be a problem with our emails communicating with each other, as he had not seen any (still doesn’t excuse his lack of customer service, by not auctioning what he promised) However, he re-instated his promised to get the outstanding issues sorted and ordering the missing part, as by his own words “it has gone on to long and he need to sort it” AGAIN NIL, NADA & NOTHING. So yeh again I rang and emailed him, and along came the same reply’s “I’m on it and will get the items ordered and sent out tomorrow” Point to note: I had already fixed the driver seat issue by now, which I had only told him via my earlier emails. The fact that he only ever mentions the parcel shelf and mirror in any and all of our conversations, says that he has been receiving and reading my emails. LIE! Again 2-3 weeks later NIL, NADA & NOTHING, again I was on the phone to him “sorry I’ve been busy, I’ve had to order the mirror from eBay and have the parcel shelf in stock, so I’ll post it tomorrow and the mirror will be dispatched straight from eBay to you” 1 week later the, mirror/shade arrived.....success after nearly 3 months. Now to get the parcel shelf. Which he apparently had in stock and was dispatching it the day after last spoke.mmmmmm??. It is now nearly October and still no sign of the parcel shelf as promised back in April. The saga continues, but I honestly believe I will never receive the parcel shelf. So in short, I would not recommend Chris (Different Cars) as a reputable, honest and trustworthy business. Constant lack of actions, very poor customer service and blatant outright lies. Use at your own risk, I know I will not be again.
