THINK TWICE BEFORE PURCHASING A CAR FROM THE CAR STORE STOKE. I purchased a car from Carstore in Stoke-on-Trent just over 3 months ago. On test driving the car, as I pulled off i heard a rattling sound which Georgina who was with me from the store stated it was just the trade plate rattling against the car. Prior to picking up and paying for the car it had some upholstery work done to the drivers door which at the time of collecting the car was excellent. All went well and my money was taken from me, a couple of months later the rattle had gotten worse (quite clearly not just the trade plate) and the repair to the upholstery had started to crack. I contacted them several times before eventually my call was returned to get my car booked in for a further repair and to investigate the rattle. Gavin one of the Managers there (who was there when I purchased the car) said someone would call me back to arrange to book it in. I did not receive a call back so I contacted them yet again and finally got it booked in. The day before I was due to take the car in, I called them and spoke to Louise to ask if I could drouth car of that evening as I was unable to get home if I dropped it the morning it was booked in. I was told yes that's fine we are here till 7pm. I arrived at 6pm to find the entire place closed and what could only be described as the place was shutting down. So, not only had Louise not bothered to pass on the message I was arriving that evening no-one had even bothered to tell me it was closing down. I called them and have several times now only to be passed around and what I can only describe as being ignored. I was promised an email by another manager I spoke to that would confirm that my first service (which I had been promised would be free) would still be honoured and that someone would call me to rearrange to get my car booked in again. No return calls or emails from anyone......called again today, to be told the same thing and still as yet no-one has bothered to return my call. Quite clearly this place is happy to take your money from you, but is entirely not bothered about any after sales care. As yet I am still waiting to hear about when they will be repairing my car. I advise you think twice before purchasing anything from this company.
