Disgusted in the service provided by Bradford BMW. I purchased a car on the 10th August -the fact that it was serviced on the 8th August by JCT 600 Bradford and passed with flying colors was a deciding factor. I noticed that the service light was still on when I purchased the car but was advised by the garage from which I purchased the car that the service had been done at JCT and they would have forgotten to reset it. I called into JCT to double check this and was advised the light was in fact on due to a 'vehicle check and standards score' was not completed at the time the main service was done. I then booked this back in with JCT 600 on the 14th with the next available date being the 21st Aug. After taking this back in on the 21st to have this missing check done (that was missed on the 8th) I was advised that I needed two new tyres due to a defect on the side of the rear tyre wall. (Have to be bought in pairs) I categorically have not done any damage to the car since owning it. This prompted me to look at photos I had taken of the car on the 3rd August prior to purchasing it. I noticed that the defect was actually present before it was serviced. This makes me very suspicious of the reason that the part of the service that would highlight this defect to me prior to purchase was not done at the time?? After calling and speaking to the service manager, she then spoke with the technician who serviced the car on the 8th who has serviced on average 30+ cars since then (based on just servicing 3 cars per day) but for some reason can be 100% sure it was OK at the time without even checking anything to back up this claim. Very suspicious and I will be taking this further.
