Awful car and terrible service

Awful experience and service from Westfield Motor House. We bought a Ford Smax for £8k with a 12 month warranty from them. The car has had persistent faults since we bought it, culminating in the gearbox going as we were driving on a main road with our 3 children in the back. Despite the car being under warranty, Westfield told us they would NOT fix the car and were incredibly unhelpful and rude. When we purchased the car they informed us that the car was covered, through them, for repairs for 12 months. However, since the car is off the road they have said that fixing the car is not their responsibility and they are unwilling to offer any help or support. We have been left with a car that is not roadworthy, and in fact the garage who have towed the car and looked at it say the car had been sold to us with an already faulty gear box that had been removed and not repaired properly before being sold on. Obviously this is a serious safety issue and irresponsible of Westfield Motors. I am writing this review in the hope that other customers will find an alternative garage to purchase their cars so that they do not end up in a situation like ours.
