Shocking customer service, avoid!
Absolutely shocking customer service from Capels Van Centre. I travelled an hour and a half to view a car on Friday to which I had agreed via email I would visit on said day. We then arrived and found that the car was out being loaned to some guy as his van was being taken in for an MOT... at this point I was gutted and a little bit annoyed, but I said ok I can't wait round until 4pm, this was at 12ish with two kids- we didn't know the area- I said if you can put an MOT on it I will be back when it's ready - the sales patter was strong ... It didn't need to be because I was ready to buy it! I'd checked the car's MOT history- I was ready to buy it after viewing it, I wasn't given the option to put a deposit down- the sales person took my name and number and told me he would ring as soon as the car has been for it's MOT... Low and behold I was waiting for a call, so today I rang before travelling the hour and a half - lucky I did because if we had and found out the car had gone I would not have been impressed at all. On the phone, the sales person tried to blame me! For not calling to check and for not asking to put a deposit down! How am I meant to know that was an option if it's not given to me?! Absolutely abysmal. The one thing I am apologetic for is getting upset and yes shamefully I swore...but it’s so frustrating when on the phone when the sales person was trying to justify and over talk me, attempting to blame me and justify their reasoning, I get it, they have to sell their stock... My argument is, I was promised a call to let me know when the car was ready! I didn't even get a courtesy call to say the car had been sold!
