Second hand Car Purchase

Absolutely Shocking Sales Manager to deal with. Attempted to purchase a car from Hawkins Penryn, couldn't leave a deposit, as deposits are non refundable, as its company policy. Wanted to leave a deposit subject to the car being as described on arrival, was told if I didn't buy it, deposit wasn't returned. I would need to make two trips to buy the car. I questioned why, as the car was advertised as "FULLY PREPARED". I was told despite this being advertised it wasn't the case and it needed an MOT and a service, they weren't prepared to do this unless they have received a deposit, as its company policy. When I questioned the Fact the car was advertised by them as "FULLY PREPARED" I got attitude from the Sales Manager. I promptly took my business elsewhere, if its this bad trying to buy a car, what must it be like after they have taken your Money...!!! Shocking experience, totally different at Dales in Cornwall, whom I recommend completely they cant do enough for you and clearly value all new business. Hawkings NEED to address there clearly faulty advertising and indeed there company policies, because of these things and there Sales Managers attitude they lost a sale.
