Close, but no cigar

Visited Dick Lovett BMW in Swindon on the 15th of June.. I was greeted by reception and allowed to walk around showroom. Very few of the cars had printed speech sheets or iPad details of their specs. After 40mins if looking, I go to ladies in reception as I had a question and no one in sales approached me. I explained I was after a car, my company car allowance, etc. Ladies in reception took my details and advise someone from corporate team would call. I received a 10AM call from a rather rude lady from the corporate sales team, who rehashed an abridged version of the conversation I had with reception.. and concluded her statement with “how do you expect me to help you?!” I thanked her for her call and hung up. I’m assuming an assumption of me was made, hence the disinterest in selling me a car. However, while it’s possible for me to buy a BMW, I won’t be buying a car from them.. either direct or through my employer. As the thought of coming to this dealership for periodic servicing makes me cringe.
