Never again - signature cars
Last year I bought my daughter her first car from Signature Cars after hunting around for ages. Low mileage , lady owner good bodywork ( although I had spotted some rust under the driver door and they said this would be strengthened) past mots looked reasonable. The car was certainly not a bargain but thought getting from a dealer I would have more peace of mind. I repeatedly told the salesman that I was letting my daughter drive this car so I was obviously nervous. A year later and it failed the MOT drastically, unsafe tyres, tread was fine but the tyres are so old, almost perishing. The whole base of the car was a rust bucket and would cost £800 to put right. There’s more but I won’t go into detail. I was told the car was too dangerous to drive! The previous welding had been done ..badly. Furious is not the word. How this car had passed the mot 2 weeks before I bought it I will never know. Oh yes I do know ... they brought it up to minimum standard before it went through mot so the unsuspecting buyer thinks they are getting a good sound car!!! Never trust this car sales .
