UNBELIEVABLY BAD EXPERIENCE
Robins & Day Chiswick were actually WORSE than one star!!!! We found a Peugeot Rifter advertised for sale on line, at Robins & Day, Chiswick. The car was the 7 seater model we were looking for. It would mean a journey of 3 to 4 hours for us from South Wales but we were really interested in seeing and test driving the car. We contacted the garage to check that the car was indeed the 7 seater model, as advertised, and that is was still for sale. The sales person my partner spoke to confirmed the model and told us the car was available on the forecourt for us to view. We then asked for a part exchange quote for our car. The sales person took our car details & said he would ring us back with a quote. HE DIDN’T RING!! We really wanted to see the car and telephoned the garage the following day to make a viewing appointment. The sales person was amazed that we were prepared to make the long journey to Chiswick. We made an appointment to see the car at 1pm the following day and gave the sales person a mobile number so that she could contact us should there be a problem with the viewing. Following a 31/2 hour journey, we arrived at the garage, as arranged, to be told by the sales person that she had, just that minute, discovered that the car was NOT available for us to view, as it was out on loan!!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! And then....... we were told that the car we had arranged to view was actually the 5 seater model and NOT a 7 seater, as advertised!!! The sales manager did offer an apology and seemed to think that all would be well if the company paid for us to have a meal somewhere close by or perhaps we could be tempted to a visit to Kew Gardens!! REALLY????????? BE WARNED - this company cannot be trusted!!!! Our day ended with a 5 hour journey home on an extremely busy M4! I have had to award one star for each category because it is not possible to lave a no star rating.
