Appalling communication
I have had the misfortune to use Halliwell Jones Southport BMW on three occasions for two different BMW's now. On each occasions the communication is beyond frustrating. To book in for a service / mechanic you must use the centralised booking system which is vague and has no connection with the site so they are unable to provide any more detail other than a date available. The service staff at the Southport branch are very rarely available to speak to you when requesting progress updates on repairs so you have to leave your number with reception, on two occasions I have left my details in the morning and been told someone would call back the same day with an update, twice this did not happen. It took two weeks to have a clutch replaced on a 3 series, this is ridiculous on such a common car. Three days were wasted just trying to diagnose the problem (which the AA had already told them what the issue was).
