Pace Cars is indicative of the bad press that car salesmen have: After test driving the car on Sunday 26th May, I agreed to purchase it and gave him £200 deposit, that he asked for. I told him that I would pay the balance when my insurance company sent me my settlement cheque. He told me that he fully understood that insurance firms can take time and offered to keep the car for me for up to two weeks. I assured him that I would keep him posted. 6 days later (Saturday June 1st) he was hounding me. I assured him on I would be on the phone to the insurance Monday morning 3rd June and give him an update by 2pm. My insurance settled on Monday at 1pm and so I called Brian at 1.15pm as promised BEFORE 2pm, to tell him that I would be collecting the car on Saturday morning (8th June) only for this unscrupulous dealer to announce that he had sold the car the afternoon before (Sunday 2nd May) This dealer is a rogue and should be avoided like the plague. I can't leave No stars for rating, but in my opinion doesn't deserve even one star.
