Buyers beware!
I saw a BMW X6 on ebay advertised by GSL Autos. It looked good, I called and went for a test drive and liked the car. I left £1000 deposit and secured remaining funds for the following week. The following week I was prepared to pick up the car and the alloys were discussed. They were worn and Stuart had a company that could refurbish them so we sent the car off. at this point I did a HPI check at this point as something was niggling me. It came back Cat N Insurance write off. I didn't see this in the ebay ad. I spoke to Stuart who assured me it was in the ad and sent it to me. It was a Gumtree ad. It clearly said Cat N but certainly wasn't so obvious in the ebay ad. I told him I didn't want the car. This was a problem as the alloys cost £380 to refurb. I said we could split it. He said no and there was no refund which I'd asked for. I later offered to pay the whole alloy refurb by text as he stopped responding to calls or texts, but I've heard nothing at all. So I've been fleeced for £1000 or £620 if the alloys are paid for. A small error by myself but the most unprofessional mickey mouse firm I've ever dealt with. Either give GSL Auto's a wide berth or HPI anything you buy and give a very small deposit you can write off. JB
