Don't buy anything!

Hi, My partner Holly and I have just bought a car from D Bright Motors in Coventry on the 28th March 2019, a £200.00 deposit was paid on the 27thMarch followed by the remaining £3,100.00 which was transferred to the dealer on the 28th. the registration is - FL10 HXZ it is a red Vauxhall Zafira, and has done 66,000 miles. After noticing a problem with the air conditioning unit, we have taken the vehicle to a garage who has informed us of some problems. The garage has informed us that the car has been in an accident previously and that the front end of the car has been put back together with cable ties (not been fixed correctly or in the right place) this is why the air conditioning is not working however they cannot say exactly what is wrong with the car until they pull the front end apart! The radiator shakes and the parts have been put back too close to each other which over time will cause rubbing .. causing future leaks. The name of the mechanic is rob and his number is 02920888834if you wish to confirm all of this. They also claim to be fully AA inspected, we found that so hard to believe that we have spoken to AA and they have confirmed that it was not an AA inspected car, so they are clearly falsely advertising cars with no idea about how UNSAFEthey are, making people believe that they are safe. Our children were in the car when smoke started coming from the engine all of our life’s at risk. On the 2nd April 2019, We detailed an in-depth breakdown of the problems with the vehicle in an email and requested a refund and quick resolution. When the car was purchased the ABS (anti-lock braking system) light was on we didn’t think anything of it at the time but are very annoyed to find out that this is a problem with the brakes and in an emergency it would be fatal, this ABS problem is an immediate MOT FAIL…. Which is worrying because the car came with an 12 month MOT, my children and my family have been using this vehicle and have been unaware of these serious problems until today. Problems diagnosed by garage (2ndApril 2019) -To replace condenser supply and fit - £200.00 (not working at all) -Cost to diagnose - £45.00 -Wheel hub (abs) -Rad mounts rubber -Damaged metal pipe -Diagnose ac fault (Wiring fault) -Labour cost £200.00 -The front abs sensor is part of a front hub assembly priced at - £332.00 (broken not working at all) -Vauxhall Zafira Pipes - £47.25 ( bent out of shape and will cause leaks) -Side radiator rubber mounts are priced at £8.95 (radiator moves about freely) TOTAL COST: £788.20 PLUS VAT Following this email to the dealership, they made us a counter offer of £391.20 based on the fact that this is what it would cost them to repair the vehicle they refused to collect the car, they also sent us eBay links to purchase the partsourselves. “Dealers offer” -Diagnosis £45 -Pipes £47.25 -Radiator rubber £8.95 -Ac condenser £70 -Front Wheel hub with abs £80 -Labour for condenser and wheel bearing £140. Total £391.20 WORK COMPLETED ON THE VEHICLE SO FAR - -A new wheel hub -New brake pads and disc -Fuses and reversed bulbs changed -Radiator and pipes mounted down correctly and cable ties removed -Air con leak repaired -The 1 cigarette lighter rewired so it works -A full service (the oil was like water) -Aircon regas Total cost - £476.00 As well as the natural stress this has bought me and my family, they do not return calls, emails or texts we also have the following NEW safety concerns -The fuel cap motor is also broken, so it sticks meaning we have to carry a screw driver on us to refuel -The electrics in the air con pump is broke -The middle seat belt does not work making the car not fit for purpose as it's not a 7 seater which we NEEDED -The 2 other cigarette lighters do not work. (the one that’s working has been re-wired to the tow bar) -even after one ABS light is still on -SMOKE coming from the engine -car has been re-wired incorrectly. -central locking is not working properly – my daughter (epileptic) locked herself in the car The car has clearly been in a crash (as told by two mechanics) which has caused many faults and has clearly been fixed by Mickey mouse... we’velooked at the history of the car and it's only done 80 miles for the previous year and was not put through an MOT in 2017. We are out of pocket with the money we've spent on it so we want a full refund (the car is still under warranty) being as the car is not safe anymorewith the smoke coming out of the engine I am not driving the car back to the dealer with the state the car is in it's too dangerous, they are refusing a refund and are refusing to collect the car. Please help us get this resolved, we now have no car (except the one zafira which is broke) and getting back and forth to work is challenging as well as our two young children, one of which is our 2 year old daughter who is epileptic. Thanks. Shaun James-Dryland.
