Avoid this company
When you send an email from off enquiring about a car they ring you back within minutes. Once you have purchased the car they NEVER get back to you no matter how many time you ring them or go to see them in person! I purchased a car on Saturday 23rd February this year. It needed a job doing on it before I could drive away as it was making a knocking noise at the front so they told me the bushes would be done and I could pick the car up on Monday 25th February. After finishing work and a family member driving nearly an hour to come with me to pick the car up, I was told when I got there the car wasn't ready and they had tried to ring me. I had no call or voicemails from them so this was clearly a lie. I went back the next day to complete the sale with a member of my family having to drive back over again and then once there, we had to wait for it to be driven back from their garage so I could pay the remaining balance in full and drive away. As I was leaving I was told I needed to put in a new battery for the key to work with central locking. I tried a new battery when I got home but the key was faulty. The car was also still knocking which I noticed straight away as I drove home. And also a few small jobs that needed sorting. I rang walmersley trade centre back and told them about the key and the knocking noise still being there and I had to take the car back to them the next day and leave it with them until the following day. When I picked the car up the job was done to stop the knocking but my key needed a part which they said they ordered and would be here within a week and they will contact me as soon as it arrives. 3 weeks later I had to ring back as I had still had no phone call to fix my key. I was told he would find out and ring me back that day. I did not get a phone call. The next week I had to go down to see what was going on because they NEVER return phone calls when they say they will. Apparently they had ordered the part but it was the wrong one and to come back the next day so they can sort the key. I took the car back at around 12pm the next day and was told I would get a phone call by 2pm to come and pick up. I waited until 3pm and still no phone call so I tried ringing many times and could not get through. I walked back there and it was closed but a man I had never seen or dealt with before just pulled up and made a call to find out what was going on and he said i had to wait again but he would give me and my 8 year old daughter a lift home (I would definitely not accept his offer of a lift home as this is a stranger I had never met) They said they would ring in the next 20 minutes when car is back. I waited an hour and tried to ring and could not get through. Luckily they rang me back at 4pm to say I could pick up. Since having the car I noticed a bit of a rattling sound at the back but as I'm inexperienced with cars I didn't think anything of it until recently it was getting louder and told my partner to have a drive and see what he thinks. He said it's definitely not right so my partner took the car back down to them as I've only had the car for not even 2 months. They said they would ring me at some point today. No phone call has been made yet again. I am also still getting a 'Boot open' signal intermittently coming up even though they state they have checked and can not see a problem, it happened as soon as I drove the car away after they had looked the second time it went back to them. They said if it bothered me that much they will take the warning signals off but I will have to leave the car with them for a few days which I will not be doing. Asked on the first day when I went to pick the car up if cambelt had been changed. They said they would get garage to check and let me know. They told me the next day that it had been done. There is no proof or paperwork backing this up and have now found out that they wouldn't have even been able to check if it had been done and the chances are it hasn't been done yet anyway so this is another lie just to get your money. Car was advertised as having Full service history but the service book only had 3 stamps and they say it has been done but by a different garage that hasn't put stamps in the book. I decided not to purchase the extended warranty as it has very bad reviews and it's common for them not to pay out due to various reasons so I just had the 3 month warranty but it seems like Walmersley Trade Centre will do anything to get out of doing the work so I will be getting the work done myself. I also still have not received the 1 year free AA roadside recovery which is promised with every sale despite asking for details on this. Only small amount of work that has needed doing and I would leave an average review if they had kept in contact but as soon as they have your money its like they want nothing more to do with you and it made me feel like I was inconveniencing them and they had better things to do whenever I tried to speak to anyone at Walmersley Trade Cenre.
