Wouldn't buy from Little Gems AGAIN
Purchased a Renault Clio from Little Gem Cars at the end of March 2019. Firstly I wanted to pay by card, but was informed by the salesman Nick that he would be charged by card company, so would prefer me to pay by online banking. Seems pointless having a card machine if he doesn't want you to pay this way. We had problems with online banking in his office so I had to go home to pay for the car. I rang to inform him it had all gone through and I collected the car later on that day. Nick informed me he would inform DVLA and I would get a new log book. I double checked with him on 1st April that he had done this and he said yes all done. Well 4 weeks later I still had no log book, so I rang DVLA and they had no record of the new details. So I contacted Nick again and he informed me by email that he done it whilst I was there, which is totally false. I mean what business would put a car in my name prior to me going home and paying for it! He eventually got it done after myself sending a couple more emails. I did send him an email at the end of all this to say that the whole experience was a shambles and he answered by saying I was ridiculous. I would like to point out also that he said this was the 2nd time he had told DVLA, but he seems to forget that he says the first time he told them online I was there, he also stated we taxed the car together again totally false, this I done myself along with the insurance from my home after paying for the car, so how was I there when he done all this!, so take from that what you will. Not a garage I would use again and bear in mind all don't turn up with a debit card as he is not happy with the charges! And if you do buy a car from him and there is a problem like what I have just experienced then don't expect an apology, as you won't get one, well I certainly did not get one, I just got told that my remarks are ridiculous. Outstanding customer service NOT!!
