What an awful and disrespectful
On the 1st of March, 2019. My 66 reg. vauxall corsa was due for service so Evans Halshaw dealership in St Albans came for the car 10am at my work address and I told them I will be picking up my son from the nursery at 3.30pm and they said OK. As soon as the lady that came for the car drove it away, I did not heard from them till 4:30pm, even I rang them about 11 times. I couldn't get my car on the 1st March so I went home by a public transport around 6:00pm and my 3yrs son was stuck in the nursery. 2nd March I went to the garage by a taxi. On Monday morning 4th March, 2019. Immediately I started the car to get to work but it couldn't move and a message came on the dashboard "ENGINE POWER REDUCED", I waited till 8am and I called Evans Halshaw st albans garage to feed them about the problem.. They then told me they're sending someone for the car.. The person came in, in hrs time and he told me to call the garage in 40mins. time, which I did. From that period I tried again to get through to the service department but I end up getting the same response "your car is still in the garage". As an agency worker I didn't wanted to lose a day pay as the car is on finance which I needed to pay monthly. 4:25pm I called them again then they told me my car is done so I should come for it. As a company they never told me when they came for the car, that I have to it up myself. 1) I have lost a day pay. 2) I have paid £493.00 on the service. 3) I have to pay for a cab again to pick it up. I then called their customer care staff on the 5th March, 2019 and they advised me that they will investigate and get back to me in two days time, which they did called back on the 7th March, 2019. The lady that rang from the customer care named Donna which I believe they've given me a wrong name. She was telling me there is nothing they can do about my situation, so I tried to asked her some questions about what she said. she then hung up on me. I called back straight away then a man answered the call told him the situation, he told me that is not right for their staff to do that. I will you advise you not to go there because their mechanics and customer service are rubbish.
