ALLEN FORD CORBETS TEY ROAD. Terrible ‘main dealer’ that conned my vulnerable 81 year old parents. They pressured my parents into paying a £500 deposit on a used car that they had not even seen. When my parents went back days later to look at the car it was registered in Northern Ireland (they had not been made aware of this at all) and it wasn’t in perfect condition as they were told before they paid the £500 deposit. It is a 4 year old car, but they were told it was in perfect condition and it should have been for the extortionate price. Also on the paperwork they were given it stated that no deposit should be taken without seeing the car. So they should never even paid a deposit. The car they were being sold was also an extortionate price around £4,000 more than Fords valued the same car at themselves. My father is not very well and this has caused him a considerable amount of stress. He has been back to cancel but he hasn’t been given his deposit back as yet. Now I will absolutely not rest until this deposit is refunded to my parents. I will make sure that everyone in my local area knows how this garage does business, taking advantage on vulnerable pensioners. The reason my parents went to Allen Ford in Upminster is because they thought they were a reputable garage.
