Poor Service
I have been a proud owner of many BMW cars over the years of driving. And I got to say after visiting Ocean BMW in Falmouth on 23rd January. I am appalled at the level of service and ownership of mistakes Ocen have made with my car. I originally called and booked the service early January. I was offered a £39.99 winter safely check which would include checking of the timing chain. On arrival at Ocean 8.45am Wednesday 23rd January I asked for Monty on check-in. When going through the details of the service that had been booked! I was told the wrong service had been booked for what needed to be done!! I agreed for them to do what needed to be done and was told this would take just a few hours and went into Falmouth for a wanda and had breakfast. On my return at 11am, my car was given a clean bill of health with the option just to change one of the tensioners for the timing chain, so i gave the go-ahead to do the job! I waited till gone 5pm and followed up with Monty! After waiting a further 45 mins i finally caught up with Monty! And was informed my engine was no longer drivable of which i was shocked by! I was provided a courtesy car. 4 days later i received a call from Monty saying i needed an engine rebuild and would cost in the region of 5-6k to rebuild! As the problem was caused by Ocean. I hoped they would put there hands up and apologise and just get the job done!! But no. Conversations have continued back and forth 12th February. To get my car back i agreed to pay £1000!! On arrival the paper work was handed over by Andy!! Honestly, he just spoke complete and utter Bull×××× I wish i could attach photos of the way my car was handed over!! I'm very proud car owner and always keep it clean inside and out!!! So i was appalled when Andy had run over the car quickly with a hose!! The car was wet, there was bird splatters all over the car! The inside smelled if a mechanic had lived in the car for the last few weeks and the engine bay hadn't even been cleaned out!!! Grease marks everywhere broken parts missing OBD cover and a catalog of errors along the way!! This is not the standard or level of service expected from BMW.
