After purchasing a V.W. caddy van (first registered in Sept 14) from MK Engineering UK Ltd and trading in a Mitsubishi L200 on 12/3/15 (with a personalised reg and road tax until July 2015) in March 2015 the necessary forms where filled out by the dealer for the transfer of the personalised reg onto the V.W. caddy, I was informed that the Mitsubishi registration document would be sent to me with a new registration number and to then sign and date the registered keeper in section 9 (sale and transfer) and forward this to the motor trader to fill in his section, this then would be sent to the DVLA and I would then receive a refund on the remainder of the road fund licence (this would have been 4 months refund). I have today (1/6/15) received a letter from DVLA informing me that the Mitsubishi is still in my name and is not insured I have contacted this dealer asking why and also the reason I have not received a refund on my road fund licence and he has informed me that as he had sold on the vehicle to another motor trader it was their responsibility to sort this out. Also 4 weeks after acquiring the V.W. caddy I had a towbar fitted and the company who fitted this asked me if I was aware that the van had been involved in a rear end accident to which I was completely unaware as there was no mention of this when I purchased the vehicle. I will leave you the option of making your own assessment of MK Engineering UK Ltd.
