very bad service
Bought MB C class from Terry Coulter Cars and was very disappointed in car condition after collection. Before purchase I was assured that car will have full service done before collection. Car was starting rough on cold which was noticed few days after collection, it had engine fault related to loose timing chain, start/stop function was not working and several other faults came up after simple computer diagnostic. Dealer lied that car was fully inspected and no faults were found, eventually putting blame on their mechanic. Car was given back for repair and after all above faults was mentioned to dealer they tried to argue with me saying that the car has no start/stop function and rough start on cold is related to incorrect engine oil not loose timing chain as was diagnosed by MB specialist. Later after several calls and arguments when I said that I will return car back to them for refund with help of lawyer they changed their mind and agreed that timing chain need to be replaced which took them nearly 2 weeks to fix and agreed that car has start/stop function. This two weeks I had to drive one of their courtesy car, which wasn't in great condition and dealer refused to compensate temporary insurance cost which I have faced due to their incompetence and misleading information during sale. Car was advertised including SatNavigation with voice control and Headlight washers ( which wasn't actually in the car pack, but allowed dealer to set one of the highest prices on this model ) and again dealer blamed third party website (usedcarsni) who is somehow related to their own web site and placing advertisements for them and there is only small part under vehicle picture where they actually input information. Again it is not their fault, this guys doesn't seems to be responsible for anything they do. Overall experience buying car from TerryCoulter Cars was very bad, staff do not know what they are selling, BS customers about how they will do full check and service on the car before sale (which clearly wasn't done in this case), refusing to be responsible for their own sales by blaming ether mechanic or some other websites, etc. My advise to go somewhere else and do not listen to what dealer tell you. Fully inspect car before and after purchase buy qualified mechanic to make sure it has no faults that will cost you fortune to fix in the future and if anything come up after you collect car, give it back to them ASAP, speak to your solicitor and complain to consumer rights. Waiting on car back, will fully check new chain and whether everything has been done by MB repair book to make sure no cheap crap parts fitted which may cause issues to the engine within year and even higher repair cost. Update to follow .....
