We bought my partners 21 year old son his first little van from The Bedfordshire Van Centre and we were assured that the van was sound and that it had been checked by a mechanic before our 21 year old drove it home. We drove up from Hampshire (two and half hours) to pick the van up. 20 mins into the journey the van started overheating continuously on the motorway, which in itself was dangerous. Once he limped it back to Hampshire we were told that the head gasket had gone and it had gone for some time. This leads me to advise people to NOT trust them. As a result they have now been reported to Trading Standards for Major Safety Issues and miss description of the item on sale, i.e. it was roadworthy when it wasn't. We have given them lots of options to remedy the situation as we are reasonable people but the owner whose name is Tim Smith has ignored letters, emails and telephone calls, so now we are taking the legal route for recovery of our losses. Don't use The Bedfordshire Van Centre.
